Hey everyone,
So sorry I haven't posted in a while but heres one to make up for it.
So I've now been to school for like 2 and 1/2 weeks or something and I hate it so much. Everyday I wake up and wish I could just go home. I love my host family, like they are so nice, caring and friendly but I just hate my school so much that it makes me want to not be in France and to just be back at my normal school in Australia! I have like barely any real friends and its hard because I can't make any as I can't speak the language!!!! Some of the girls seemed really nice and willing to help me at the start but now it just feels like they don't like me anymore for some reason because they never talk to me. Even though they can speak fairly well english. Alot of the time I sit by myself and its hard to get through each class and the long breaks when you have no one to have fun with, or no one to be around. There
are a few people that are nice but the class is sometimes split in two and they are in the other class so....I feel so alone. It feels like no one wants to be my friend anymore. I'm so sick of this. I want out. Anyways tomorrow I think I'm going shopping with my host Mum and Sister in Toulouse, which is great because I really need to buy a new bag and shoes. My host brothers and host dad are both going away this weekend so my host sister and I will have the house to ourselves for most of the weekend as my host mum has her night shift as a nurse.

harder than I thought?
hey everyone,
I started school on Wednesday.
It's sooo hard! Especially since I can't speak or understand the language so i don't always know what the teacher is talking about during the lessons. I'verealised now that this experience is going to be alot harder than i thought and I'm freaking out!!! arghhhh! The people are really nice though and im starting to make a few friends in school, even though i cant remember anyones names! I'm now known to many people as "THE AUSTRALIAN GIRL" and it always makes me laugh. St Orens is a very beautiful town, with all the houses looking similar to a childrens doll house. My host family is very lovely and are helping me to speak french. In my family I have a mum, a dad, one sister and two brothers.
love laura xo

Dear Bloggers,
I’ve now met my host family and they all seem very nice and friendly. It took 7 hours on the train to get to Paris to Toulouse. I’m now in a town called St Orens in Toulouse and so far its all going pretty good. Even though I only really speak when spoken to or when I need to ask a question because French is soooooo hard!!! I start school on Wednesday and I’m really nervous but quite excited too. Last night I slept over at Ashleys friends house and we went to her town party. It was kinda like a carnival with rides and fireworks. The fireworks were amazing we were right under them, they were so beautiful and music played along with them. We were so close that some of the fireworks were even hitting people as they were coming down and one hit me in the head! Love laura xo.

So the journey begins.
Hey bloggers,
So I’ve arrived in Paris! I’m beginning to miss everyone like crazy. I’m starting to realise that this exchange is going to be a lot harder than I thought.
At the moment we are in a orientation camp in the centre of Paris and i leave on Saturday! I’m really enjoying it! There are around 79 kids ranging from 15-18 (I’m pretty young)from everywhere south Africa, Germany, Hungry, America and so many more! My flight was horrible though it took 20 long boring hours!!!! Not including the stop over in Singapore. The people I have met on this camp are amazing, everyone is so friendly and I’ve arranged to even met up with a few of them and go to Disney Land altogether during the exchange. Love Laura xo.
